The Santa Rosa shrine houses the image carried into Barquisimeto each January in one of Latin America’s largest Marian processions. The Archdiocese elevated the church as a shrine in 2018. Its significance is the documented living pilgrimage and local Marian devotion, not a claimed apparition.
