A major Marian pilgrimage complex now owned and operated by the Romanian Orthodox Church. Its modern pilgrimage history includes a documented Greek Catholic chapter; after the Greek Catholic Church was outlawed in 1948, the monastery was transferred to Orthodox custody. It is included as shared and contested Christian heritage, not as a currently Catholic-run shrine.
