Northern Europe's great medieval pilgrimage destination, built over the traditional tomb of St. Olav and again receiving walkers on the revived St. Olav Ways.

Nidaros is the northern equivalent of a great medieval destination cathedral. The shrine structures were lost after the Reformation, but the traditional tomb beneath the high altar still defines the building and the revived pilgrim reception welcomes walkers arriving by the St. Olav Ways.
