Odense Cathedral, now Lutheran, preserves in its crypt the shrine and visible remains of Denmark's canonized King Canute IV and his brother Benedict.

Odense offers one of the North's clearest visitable saint shrines: St. Canute's remains are visible in the crypt beneath the cathedral named for him. Pair prayer there with the marked site of the earlier St. Alban's Church where the king was killed in 1086.
