Why pilgrims come

A sacred place worth the journey.

Rovinj's hilltop parish preserves the relics attributed to St. Euphemia in a marble sarcophagus. The saint's martyrdom and current veneration are distinguished from the later tradition that her sarcophagus miraculously reached Rovinj in 800.
