Why pilgrims come

A sacred place worth the journey.

A Basilian monastery and major UGCC Marian pilgrimage center on Yasna Hora. The historic original Hoshiv icon disappeared during persecution; the image now venerated is a later copy returned to the Basilians in 2001 and crowned in 2009 with crowns blessed by Benedict XVI.
