Why pilgrims come
A sacred place worth the journey.
Scotland’s Carfin Grotto includes a permanent chapel, statue, drawing, and relic devotion dedicated to St. Thérèse. Her major touring reliquary visited temporarily in 2019, but the permanent Little Flower chapel and Carfin relics—not that temporary tour—are the reason this belongs on the map.
The pilgrim’s guide
What makes this visit meaningful
Visit Scotland’s national Marian shrine through its long and unusually strong devotion to the Little Flower. The permanent chapel, early statue, Céline’s drawing, and relic collection make Carfin a genuine St. Thérèse destination rather than merely a former stop on a relic tour.

Permanent relic devotion
