About Catholic Tourist

A pilgrim-first atlas of the Catholic world.

Catholic Tourist helps travelers find the shrines, saints, relics, sacred history, and living devotions that can turn an ordinary trip into a pilgrimage.

Our mission

Catholic Tourist is deep enough to reveal why a place matters, practical enough to help a pilgrim visit, and careful enough to distinguish documented Church recognition from tradition, testimony, and unresolved claims.

Catholic Tourist exists to glorify the Lord, help you on your faith journey, and deepen your faith by making the sacred places and stories of the Catholic Church easier to discover and visit.

What belongs on the map

  • Apparition sites, shrines, basilicas, cathedrals, monasteries, convents, and pilgrimage routes.
  • Saints’ tombs, burial places, homes, prisons, martyrdom sites, and other places tied to a documented sacred event.
  • Eucharistic miracles, Passion relics, other relics, and devotions—with recognition and authenticity language stated carefully.
  • Historically meaningful Catholic destinations that merit a visit even when no miracle has been formally recognized.

An independent travel resource

Catholic Tourist is operated by Amabile Media. It is not an official publication of the Holy See, the Vatican, a bishops’ conference, diocese, parish, shrine, religious institute, or tourism authority. References to Church recognition summarize the best official source we have located; they are not judgments made by Catholic Tourist.

Opening hours, liturgies, access rules, public displays of relics, and local conditions can change. Travelers should always confirm practical details with the official destination before departure.
